My name is Kendal Ferguson and i reside in Cumbernauld.
I decided to train as a microchip implanter because I was astonished at the number of pets that go missing and had no form of identification that could bring them back home to their owners.
The excuses that I heard for not microchipping their pets were,
"Haven't got round to it yet"
"Pet doesn't like the vets"
"I Might do it when he/she gets neutered as it will be cheaper"
"Forgot to ask when I was getting his/her booster"
So I wanted to help, and thought that microchipping in the owners home would be more convenient and relaxing for some owners and pets.
I myself have 4 dogs and 4 cats, my youngest dog and kitten were microchipped by myself. I have been working at boarding kennels for the past 4 years and have taken an animal care course. I have been involved in my local dog training school for almost 5 years, which has lead me to start a dog trainer training coarse.
I have a keen interest in dog grooming, after working at a kennel/groomers and also clipping my own dogs who are cockapoos (cocker spaniel cross poodles).
I am in the proses of gaining experience before starting a groomers coarse.
animals have been in my life childhood, my parents had dogs in the house before i was born, then we budgies, and later cats, rats, hamsters, and fish. yes our house was a bit like a petting zoo at one point lol
Animals become such i big part of our lives it is important to protect and care for them.
